I was born in Venezuela in 1953. My dad was Portuguese & my mom Venezuelan. My dad was a hard worker, and also a very good entrepreneur, so he managed to achieve great success as a business man & developed a successful company in Venezuela. We enjoyed a very good life in Venezuela, back in the days when Venezuela was at the head of most countries in Latin America as the most prosperous country, back in the days of president Marcos Pérez Jimenez.

My beloved Mom was a devout Catholic, & my Dad, was a free thinker, he didn’t believe in the Catholic Church, & Evangelical Churches were almost unheard of back in the sixties in Venezuela. But my dad acknowledged the existence of God, but he believed God was somewhere in the middle of the universe minding his own businesses. So even though my mom took me to church every Sunday, at 14 years old I decided that I didn’t want to go to church anymore, since it didn’t make sense to me, besides my dad didn’t go either and church was awfully boring, as I had assisted a Catholic school my first three years of high school & that experience made me think that, if God is like that, then I am not interested in Him.

So at 14, I thought I made a deal with God as I said to Him: Listen, don’t bother me & I will not bother you, so that way we’re even & I will just live my life the way I feel like, think is right and good for me. Anyways from then on, I started to look for a meaning in my life. I enjoyed everything money could buy, even though I was too timid to get involved with women.

I had played the piano ever since I was 4 years old and I had been gifted with a very good musical ear, and was playing for audiences ever since I was 5, and got involved with musical bands as I reached high school playing piano & guitar as well.

At 19 years of age, I was in my second year of engineering at the Simon Bolivar University in Caracas, when, while visiting a friend of mine I meet two young fellows who were singing and talking about Jesus. They look me in the eyes & told me that Jesus wanted to come into my heart. I said I already had taken communion in the Catholic church when I was 8, so I didn’t need to, and in my mind I said to myself: I am not going to go to church on Sundays. I gave them a ride to the place they were staying, & left them there. But there was one thing that really impressed me about them. They had something in their eyes that I had never seen in my whole life before, there was something I couldn’t describe, but it was a light, a love, a spirit, something that would come to my mind & made me wonder… What makes the look in their eyes so deep, so special, so different from the people around me?

So some two weeks after meeting them, I was in my bedroom almost turning the light out for the night, when I finally said out loud… Okay Jesus, if you really are here, show me that you are real! So I had a very nice library in my room, with quite a few books in it, and it had a Bible that I had gotten when I was in the Catholic School, but had never read it. So I pulled it out & opened it at random, & and it opened in the first chapter of Matthew. I read the first chapter, then the second, then the third, I couldn’t stop reading it, I read 21 chapters that night, & when I woke up in the morning I was a different person. All of a sudden I was not interested anymore in anything the world was offering me. All I wanted to do was to find out more about Jesus & all the incredible things I had read the night before, like: Come follow me & I will make you a fisher of men. So I when to visit these guys at their Christian community, told them about my experience with Jesus, and no longer than a month after, I decided I wanted to leave the world behind & give my whole life to God, & that is what I did. Of course there was quite a bit of turmoil in my parents’ house, as my parents thought I had gone either crazy, or had been hypnotized, or was under some kind of drug, as they couldn’t understand the passion that had taken me over, as there was nothing stopping me. My dad offered me, a nice apartment if what I wanted was to move out, or also to send me to music school in England or the USA, something he had never wanted to do before, as he wanted me to be a successful business man as he was, he also offered to give me a job at his company with a good salary, whatever I wanted, but as much as I loved my family, I knew God was calling me, so not long after I left my home, knowing that God was going to bless my parents, because I was doing God’s will, obeying his call to go out into all the world to preach the Gospel to every creature. From then on a life of adventures began. I started reading the Bible daily & memorizing Scriptures. I started doing things I never thought I would do, like cleaning bathrooms, washing dishes, sweeping & moping our community’s house & then going out talking to all about Jesus, every day. I could spend hours talking about all the wonderful things I have experienced serving the Lord, but to make the story short; I have worked as a missionary throughout several South American countries, ever since I found Jesus.

I am 71 now. I have lived by faith & seen God's hand upon my life in many powerful ways... I have been studying my Bible faithfully all these years, & it is amazing how the Bible renews itself every day more, & I have always believed in all that is written in it from Genesis to Revelation. I have preached the Gospel in the streets, in TV stations, Radios, Churches of different denominations some with whom I have also worked with, in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Cuba, USA & Madeira Portugal...I found a wonderful woman in Brazil, where I got married, in the city of Belo Horizonte & have since then worked together to spread the truth of the Gospel.

The Lord blessed us with 13 wonderful

children, who are now spread through different nations throughout

the world. We have gone through ups & downs, as I made plenty of

mistakes, mainly for following preachers that weren’t following Christ

as He wants us to, but God is so loving and merciful, He always helped

us get back on the right and narrow road to follow Him, as He has been

remolding us throughout the years, and I am expecting the best years

of our life as the Lord promised,

He is the one who chose us, we didn’t chose Him & He has ordained

us that we bear fruit that remains. So I pray you find the letters I’ve

written to be a blessing in your life, & we will be adding more & more

materials in this page, which has been put together by one of my

wonderful daughters: Maria Victoria. You can thank God & her

for this website.
