The Love of the Father

April 2014

Dear Friends As most of you know as Christians: our doctrines & beliefs have to stand on God's Word, because there have been & there are many heresies coming from men which claim to be based on the Word of God but end up being no more than doctrines or opinions of men which lead to perdition.

Feel free to let me know if you think I am twisting the Word, as I would appreciate you doing so, as long as what you'd say is sustained on Scripture & not on man's doctrines, philosophies or religion. If you feel blessed by this compilation from the Word of God, please let me know.

1... The Love of the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit There are passages in the Scripture that show that our Heavenly Father does love those who believe in Him, in a very special way... Chapters 13-17 of the book of John have the last words that Jesus shared with his disciples the night before his crucifixion, so these teachings can be taken as part of one whole class in themselves. John 13:1 Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

It is clear that Jesus loved his own in a very special way. Again when Jesus prays in John 17, He only prays for his own, those who were present with him that night, & those who would believe in him in future generations thanks to the preaching of his disciples, but Jesus made sure to let us know He was not praying for those in the the world...

John 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

Doesn't this show He loves his own in a very special way? as He prays such a magnificent prayer for us & did not including those out in the world. John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Then He says in other passages... John 14:21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. John 15:10 If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

It can be seen clearly, that He will continue loving us as we abide in Him.

Here I would like to clarify that this “keeping the commandments” can only be achieved, if by faith, we allow the Spirit of God dwelling in us to do God's work within & through us & therefore this “keeping” can't be achieved by any efforts of our own, not of our works so that we can't boast in his presence. It is our faith that is counted for righteousness.

Rom 4:5 But people cannot do any work that will make them right with God. So they must trust in him. Then he accepts their faith, and that makes them right with him. He is the one who makes even evil people right. (Easy to Read Version) John 16:27 For the Father himself loves you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. We love Jesus & believe in Him thus we are reassured of the Father's love for us.

Since we love Jesus because He first loved us, this loving & believing in Jesus continues to be by God's grace, thus remaining as “God's works” & nothing we can boast about. 1Jn 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not.

Again there is a big difference in the love that He pours upon us & those of the world. Some more passages along the same line... 1Jn 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us. The only way we can truly love one another is if the Love of God dwells in our hearts, this implies believers. This doesn't work for unbelievers, the people of the world. Rom 5:5 And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

God the Father saved us through the work of the Holy Spirit, through Jesus Christ our Savior being born again by grace, through faith.

Tit 3:4-7 But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to his mercy, He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spiritwhom He poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviorthat being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.  2Co 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. So God does love his children in a very especial way & there is definitely a difference between the love his pours upon His Children & those of the world, He offers his Love to all mankind, only those that accept & receive it enjoy all his blessings.

John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

2... God's Children have been God's children before the foundation of the world...

In the following passages we can clearly see that before the foundation of the world, God had already predestinated us to be handpicked from the world to be adopted into his Family & be made according to the image of Jesus. Ephesians 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as He hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Rom 8:29-30 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

In the parable of the good seed & the tares we see that God's children were put in the world by God himself... Mat 13:24...38-39 The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. Later on... his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. In the gospel of John; we see Jesus bringing out the main difference between God's children & the children of the world. Jesus explains to a group of Pharisees in John 8:42-44... If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but He sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Jesus goes on to further explain the difference between God's children & the devil's children... John 8:47... He that is of God hears God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

In other words those people who receive the Word when it is being preached are God's children & those who don't are the devil's. Jesus puts it this way in John 10... the sheep (God's children) hear his voice: and He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. 4-5 And when He puts forth his own sheep, He goes before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 26-29 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. Those passages explain clearly the difference between God's children & the devil's.

God's children hear the Word & follow it; they are born again after they receive the Word. The devil's children reject it & therefore the Wrath of God abides upon them.

John 3:36 He who believes on the Son has everlasting life, and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides upon him The reason the children of the world will & do now worship the antichrist system is...

Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. The English Standard Version has a clearer translation in this verse... Rev 13:8 and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain. Well, I pray those Scriptures will be a blessing to you all. There are more scriptures in these wonderful subjects, so I pray those will have open your appetite for more.

A good concordance, a desire to know more about God's wonderful riches within his Word & the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth. Also if you have any questions I am at your service, just write me a note. I believe the Lord is raising a genuine Church, filled with the Power of his Spirit, with those disciples He has called out who are willing to believe his Promises & make them a reality in their lives by forsaking their own plans & follow His plan. Jesus' prayer to the Father in John 17 is being fulfilled.

John 17... 17:20-26 "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfect in one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them."
