Do you happen to know that God loves you immensely?
In a world as troubled as today's, it is easy to think that God must have forgotten us, or that He is not moved by what is happening, or as many people are thinking: that maybe God does not exist.
Well, even though many people ignore it, God says how much he loves us in his Word, in the Bible we read...
Jn 3:6 For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
In other words, He loves us so much that He was willing to give what He loved most to save us from this world, which is full of evil, in order to bring us into His Kingdom of Love. You may ask... And what is happening then? Well, as we read in the above passage of the Bible, it says that if we believe in Him, then we have eternal life, and you... Do you believe in Him?
Do you know what the first step is to pleasing God? Well, the first step to pleasing God is precisely that, to believe in Him, but not only that He exists but also that He wants to give you everything you need if you ask Him sincerely.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
As you will see, this world full of beautiful and wonderful things is the greatest proof of God's existence.
Rom 1:20 For the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being realized by the things that are made, even His eternal power and divinity, for them to be without excuse.
As it is well known through out the world: Jesus came to this world and died on a cross; that is affirmed by history, but also that He was resurrected from the dead. And what for? … As you can see, we, by our sinful nature, cannot behave well enough so that we could earn the forgiveness we need from our sins before God. So Jesus came, lived a life full of love and holiness, and having lived this way, He then sacrificed his life on a cross so that He could receive the punishment that we sinners deserved for our sins and be able to come before God and say: Father here is my blood which I gave to redeem men. Now those who receive my offering can receive eternal life, freely, and through my sacrifice become part of our Heavenly family. Jesus’ sacrifice not only saves our souls but also heals our physical bodies, it’s a complete deal. Also enabling us to receive the Holy Spirit to give us the power & talents to represent Him here on Earth.
1Pe 2:24 He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that dying to sins, we might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.
1Pe 1:18-19 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot;
So simply believing from the heart that Jesus died and rose for us, we confess Him with our mouth as the Lord of our life, once we have taken that step, God takes us, cleanses us from all sin, regenerates our whole being through His Holy Spirit and now we become Children of God, saved by His grace through our faith, and we begin to experience God's love, power, and goodness in our lives, now and forever. The Bible says so...
Rom 10:9-10 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.
Efe 2:8-9 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9not of works, lest anyone should boast.
You may think you are bad, or too sinful for God to receive you with love, but just look at the following passage...
Tit 3:3-7 For we ourselves also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, slaving for various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7that being justified by His grace, we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
See... If you took that step, I invite you to get a Bible and start reading it, preferably starting with the Gospel of John, here in this website, you will find more instructions on how to live in fellowship with God. If you find a church where the Word of God is honored as the Truth & you feel the Love of God in the mist of the brethren, then fellowship with them.
Finally, in case you are not aware of it: Jesus promised that He will return to this earth, to enforce the Kingdom of God, bringing justice, righteousness, love, peace and prosperity to the whole world, casting the evildoers into hell. Two very important things to keep in mind. Do not be deceived…
Mat 24:24-27 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders; so much so that, if it were possible, they would deceive even the elect. 25Behold, I have told you beforehand. 26Therefore if they shall say to you, Behold, He is in the desert! Do not go out. Behold, He is in the secret rooms! Do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes out of the east and shines even to the west, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Rev 1:7 Behold, He comes with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, and those who pierced Him will see Him, and all the kindreds of the earth will wail because of Him. Even so, Amen!
