Believing what God says about Us.

Believing & Confessing

Part 1

If you believe the Bible is the Word of God, then read on. As I often say, don’t believe everything you hear. Everything we believe has to be based in the Bible, & not in one or two verses, & especially when taken out of context, but in the whole context of the Bible. Now believing what the Bible says is impossible for an unbeliever. But especially if you are a born again Christian you have to obey the admonition to renew your mind.

Rom 12:2  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

If you spend time with Jesus reading his Word, you'll find out that you'll have the desire to obey it, as you obey it & this will help your Faith to really grow & your mind will continue to be transformed. The Lord commanded us to love one another, Jn 13:34, & the more we allow the Spirit within us to do that, the less selfish we will be, and we will find our faith growing, because God is love & in Christ Jesus it is faith that works through love, what counts. Gal 5:6 We know that FAITH COMES BY HEARING THE WORD OF GOD! Rom 10:17 I hope you understand the fact that if we want to grow closer to God, then we have to READ THE WORD faithfully. Now hearing is complemented by obeying what the Word says James 1:22 & obeying means walking in love. When we truly walk in love, we will not break any other commandment, for to Love is to fulfill all the Law. Rom 13:10, Gal 5:14 We may think, but I can’t love like God does, don’t worry, it’s not us anymore, but it is His Spirit who dwells within us: We are the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1Cor 3:16

Just sit back & allow His Love to flow through you. When you see someone in need, let God love them through you, as you get near them & listen to them, talk to them, give them the Word, pray for their well being, give them a donation, lead them to the Lord, whatever the need may be. Then you will be obeying the Word & you will be surprised of the Love of God that flows through you, it is Him! It is important to know that one of strongest enemies of our faith is a conscience of sinfulness that can haunts us easily, especially if we have been under the school of preachers that taught we were the ones that had to get the victory over our old sinful nature, and of course like no human being is able to do that, they simply cause their whole congregation to live under condemnation. It is different when we realize that Christ already set us free, & it is the Spirit within us to helps us overcome our weaknesses, so all the glory goes to God.

Jn 8:34-36  Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever practices sin is the slave of sin. And the slave does not abide in the house forever, but the Son abides forever. Therefore if the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

Rom 6:14  For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under Law, but under grace.

We have to remember what God says about us: WE ARE NEW CREATURES IN CHRIST JESUS & ALL OLD THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY! Old things HAVE PASSED AWAY 2Cor 5:17 When you are going to move into a new house, would you move in with a weirdo who is inside? No right? First you get him out. Next, do you clean it first, or paint or repair whatever is damaged in it? You don’t move into a dirty house, right? Do you think God will move into you & make you His Temple, unless He gets evil spirits out & then gets to fix & repair all that was & is broken? 2Co 5:21 For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

We are now the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD, we are no longer the old sinners that go around doing our own thing, if you still are, you need to double check whether you have really been born again.

2Co 13:4-5  for even if He was crucified out of weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For indeed even we are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you),  examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith, prove your own selves. Do you not know your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are reprobates?

1Jn 3:9-10 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who the Children of God are, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. Being redeemed means Jesus not only paid for our sins, but the old debt was totally paid for! Col 1:13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the Kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Definitions of “Redemption”: 1. The act of redeeming or the condition of having been redeemed. 2. Recovery of something pawned or mortgaged. 3. The payment of an obligation, as a government's payment of the value of its bonds. 4. Deliverance upon payment of ransom; rescue. So we are free from sin. So because the Son has made us free, we are free indeed. That doesn’t mean you will never sin again, it means: if it happens that the old nature shows up & causes you to slip & fall, you get right back up, & 1Jn 1:9… confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  1Jn 2:2… And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.  And He is the propitiation for our sins. But as we mature in the Spirit we’ll grow stronger & fall less & less, as the Lord will keep us from stumbling, and He will presents us faultless before the Presence of his Glory in great joy. Jud 1:24  Now to Him being able to keep you without stumbling, and to set you before His glory without blemish, with unspeakable joy;  Part 2

Then, it is important also to know that being surrounded by a negative ambient against faith in the Bible is not exactly the place to be strengthened in faith. Being surrounded by people who are doubters, who are always talking about problems, lack, disease, especially self-righteous people, and people who like gossiping about others, etc.; listening to that is detrimental to our Spirit. Whereas being surrounded by true believers, people who talk faith in love, that is a different story. That’s why is very important to surround yourself with people of faith. Churches where condemnation & sin is preached often, is a killer to our faith. How can we have faith if all we think about us is that we are an unworthy sinner? We are more than Conquerors, Greater is He that is in Us that he that is in the world, we have the Power of the Holy Ghost who dwells within us, all our needs are supplied according to His riches in Glory, Jesus not only erased our sins, but also took our diseases upon Himself & by His Stripes we are healed, we are Heirs with Christ & kings & priests with Jesus, & we are now sitting in Heavenly Places, & as He is so are we in this world. Please read the passages that affirm all the above. 1Jn 5:4-5, 1Jn 4:4, Acts 1:8, Fil 4:13, 1Pe 2:24, Eph 2:6 1Jn 4:17. Rev 1:6 Right now, it is by faith that I walk, believing, proclaiming & confessing all that God says I am. Look at the following verses & see if you understand the logic of declaring & confessing, according to the Scriptures. Pro 18:20-21 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; he shall be satisfied with the product of his lips. Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit. Rom 4:17  (as it has been written, "I have made you a father of many nations"(Abraham))—before God, whom he believed, who makes the dead alive, and CALLS the things that do not exist as though they do exist

If our Heavenly Father operates that way, why can’t we His Children, who are supposed to look like Him follow his example, because as He is, so are we in this world, 1Jn 4:17b

Rom 4:18-21 For he who beyond hope believed on hope for him to become the father of many nations (according to that which was spoken, "So your seed shall be"). And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body already dead (being about a hundred years old) or the deadening of Sarah's womb. He did not stagger at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully persuaded that what God had promised, He was also able to perform.

2Co 4:13 For we, having the same spirit of faith (according as it is written, "I believed, and therefore I have spoken"); we also believed and therefore speak,  Rom 10:9-10 That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; & with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

See, we believe first in our heart, & then we confess with our mouth. Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast our confession of our faith without wavering (for He is faithful who promised). Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the world was made by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. See, Jesus following the same pattern above summarized it as this… Mar 11:22-23 Jesus saith to them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever SHALL SAY unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall BELIEVE that those things which HE SAYS shall come to pass; HE SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAYS. What do I confess & proclaim? I only proclaim what the Word of God says about me as a Son & a Believer, & I do it every time it comes to my mind, providing I won’t bother other people. The more I do it, the more I believe it! It works! I may not be seeing it, 2Co 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight: 2Co 4:18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. Instead of looking at the problems & talking about them, I keep my mind & my eyes in the Word, & talk about His Promises, which I find myself quoting practically all day long. Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Php 4:6-8 Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  I am excited & thrilled at what is to come, & I believe that as we walk in this walk of faith believing God is doing His work in us, & us continually yielding to Him, there is no limit as to where we will go. Let's confess He is working in our lives, blessing us & providing every single thing we may need to accomplish His work.

Confessing and proclaiming His Promises to ourselves & those around us will strengthen our faith, as...

Mar 6:5-6 And He could there do no mighty works… & he marveled because of their unbelief. Heb 4:2  For also we have had the gospel preached, as well as them. But the Word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. Heb 3:18-19 And to whom swore He that they would not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Why do you think Jesus was so stern with the words of our mouth? Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. Revelations says that the men of God won the victory over Satan by… Rev 12:10-11 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY; and they loved not their lives unto the death. When we talk about the circumstances, the problems etc., that surround us we give them dominion over us, especially when they contradict what God has said about us. To bring up one example of many, let´s look at 10 spies of Israel in the days of Moses, responsible for the failure of Israel to enter the Promise Land… Num 13:31-33 But the men that went up with him SAID: we be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, SAYING, the land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eats up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.  Did the land eat up the inhabitants thereof? Probably yes! Was it true that the Anakims were stronger than they were? Yes. Were they men of a great stature? Yes, they were. Were they GIANTS? Yes, they were! Were they as grasshoppers in their sight? Yes, they were. Can you see it? They put their eyes in the "realities" around them & SAID what they saw. Looking at the circumstances they SAID… we are not able to go up against that people. But look what Joshua and Caleb SAID, even when they had also seen the same GIANTS in the land. Num 14:6-9 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: And they SPAKE unto all the company of the children of Israel, SAYING; The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.  Because the LORD’s delight is in us, then He will bring us into this land, and give it to us; a land which flows with milk and honey.  Only rebel not against YAHWEH, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defense is departed from them, BECAUSE YAHWEH IS WITH US: fear them not. In the long run, Yahweh spake unto Moses... Num 14:28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, SAYS Yahweh, as YOU HAVE SPOKEN in mine ears, SO WILL I DO TO YOU: Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; save Caleb, and Joshua.

See, Joshua & Caleb received what they confess: Because YAHWEH delights in us, then He will bring us into this land, and give it to us! That´s what they got! You see, when our eyes are on Jesus, then circumstances lose importance, because He that is in us is GREATER that he that is in the world. But our confession is vital. Can we rise above what we confess with our mouth? No way! Let’s confess the Word of God in our own lives, what wrong doctrine could there be into doing it?

These are some of the promises I love, I am paraphrasing them a bit... - I can do ALL THINGS IN CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME! Fil 4:13 - Psa 23:1 Yahweh is my Shepherd, I do not lack! - Psa 91:14-15 “Because I have set my love on Yahweh, therefore He delivers me. He sets me on high, because I have known His Name. 15 I call on Him, and He answers me. He is with me in trouble. He delivers me, and honors me. - My God supplies ALL MY NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY! Fil 4:19 - 2Co 5:17 Therefore because I am in Christ, I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. - I have been delivered us from the power of darkness and have been translated into the Kingdom of my King Jesus; Col 1:13 - Because I am a Son of God, then I am an Heir; Heir of God and joint-heir with Christ; so that if I suffer with Him, I may also be glorified together with Him. Rom 8:17 You see, there are many promises like that that we can benefit from BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IN THEM! You should pick the ones you like, as there are hundreds.

This is an always winning way to get the victory over all kinds of sickness & disease.

Better to trust our Loving Father, than to put confidence in man.

Luk 10:19  Behold, I give to you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the authority of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you.  A wise thing that we can also do, when we discuss about a problem is, praying together with a partner, a brother, a believer, so that the Lord will take care of the problem while we can also ask Him if their is something we're supposed to do about it, what is our part.

Mat 18:19-20 Again I say to you that if two of you shall agree on earth as regarding anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them by My Father in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst.  Mat 21:22 And all things, whatever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. Well, I pray those Scriptures will be a blessing to you! Love in Jesus… Alejandro
