When we confess Jesus as Lord & Savior of our lives, we are transformed into new creatures, & sealed by the Holy Spirit. This means that we are welcomed into God's Family as Children of God.
To give us an idea that can help us relate to what that means is to compare it to a son born into a family. A son receives the father's family name & is by nature an heir of the family's goods. In our case, being God's children, we inherit not only all things belonging to our Father's house which is actually a Kingdom & its riches infinite, but acquire also all the responsibilities a son has in his family. We pass to enjoy the protection & provision of God's Kingdom, & are required to look after the business of our Father. We start to look every time more & more as our older brother Jesus & we partake of his nature too. As we continue to renew our minds through the knowledge of his Word, as He said, the things that He did while He was here, we can do too & even greater... live in holiness, heal the sick, cast out demons, share with the poor, stop storms, raise the dead, etc. This is what Jesus was referring to when He said we would be filled with the Power of His Holy Spirit. And as Jesus prayed when He was still here on earth; that all of us would be as united with the Father & Him as much as The Father & He are one, that we also would have the very same unity, so much so that when Phillip asked him to show him the Father, Jesus told him that whoever saw him was seeing the Father also for the Father was in Him, so then whoever sees us is seeing the Father also. The interesting thing is that if we do not believe in what I just quoted above, then we we displease the Father, for He established in his Word that without faith we cannot please Him, for it is necessary that when we come before God we have to... first of all: BELIEVE that not only He is there, but also BELIEVE that He likes to GIVE plenty to those who diligently seek Him. He also affirmed that in case that we don't believe, then it's best not to ask Him for anything because He doesn't give anything to those who ask in disbelief. James 1:6-7 But an amazing & encouraging fact is that He affirmed many times that with a faith as big as small grain of a mustard seed, we can ask for WHATEVER we need, & not only for us but also for those around us in need & that we do actually receive what we ask for. Amazing no???
Well, it is clear that we will not have that kind of faith if we try to get it on our own efforts, no matter how much we try, but we will have it as a gift come from God, through the hearing of his Words. So faith is also a gift from our Heavenly Father as with our salvation too. And for now, if we are faithful children in his Kingdom, & allow Him to direct our lives, then we will also reign with Him when He comes to establish his Kingdom on this earth one of these days relatively soon. For all those things & many more, I keep praising Him at all times all the days of my life with great joy since all those amazing riches that belong to us now, are ours not because of anything that we have done but for what Jesus did when He paid for our sins dying on the Cross of Calvary. Thank you Jesus... Hallelujah!!! Now in case you may be thinking all the above is my personal opinion, read it from the Bible…
Rom 10:9-10 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.
2Co 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
Rom 8:15-18 For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption by which we cry, Abba, Father! The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. And if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ; so that if we suffer with Him, we may also be glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the coming glory to be revealed in us.
Gal 4:6-7 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. So that you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, also an heir of God through Christ.
Eph 1:13-14 In him you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation—in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory.
Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.
Jn 14:12-13 Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father. Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Act 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.
Heb 11:6 Without faith it is impossible please him, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek him.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness nor shadow of turning.
James 1:6-7 But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For that man shouldn’t think that he will receive anything from the Lord.
Jn 17:20-23 Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me. The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one; I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me.
Dan 7:27 And the kingdom and rulership, and the greatness of the kingdom under all the heavens, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. And all kingdoms shall serve and obey Him.
Blessings... Alejandro
