Are you saved? Do you have everlasting life?
What does it mean to be saved? How to know if I am saved?
Basically, God knew we don't have what it takes to be good enough to go to Heaven, so our Heavenly Father sent his Son Jesus to the world, He lived a perfect life of love & He offered his life which had been completely holy & sinless, & He gave his life as a sacrifice before the Throne of Justice of God to pay for all our sins, which were then paid for with His Sacrifice, shedding all his Blood for you & me & all those who would receive his free gift of salvation when we make Him Lord of our lives.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Col 1:12-14 giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; 13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love; 14 in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins;
Col 2:13-15 You were dead through your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our sins, 14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and He has taken it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 having stripped the principalities and the powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in the cross.
So being saved simply means having been rescued from death and the punishment that everyone is subject to because of our sins, and having received Eternal Life; Once we receive Jesus as Lord, we become new creatures & having received God’s nature within us, we also receive the power to overcome our sinful nature & spiritual enemies around us, then when our physical body dies, our Spirit which is united to our Soul is received in glory by the Heavenly Father in his Kingdom & we join millions of other Sons of God who have already gone there before us.
2Co 5:17 So that if anyone is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jn 8:34-36 Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever practices sin is the slave of sin. 35 And the slave does not abide in the house forever, but the Son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.
- How to receive salvation? When a person knows that Jesus died on the Cross and rose from the dead, and receives him as the Lord of his life, he makes a proclamation with his mouth that Jesus is now his Lord. See, we can only go to our Heavenly Father through Jesus.
Rom 10:9-10 Because if you confess Jesus as your Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart one believes for righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses for salvation.
Jn 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.
It's that simple. Salvation is a free gift from God to all who receive his Love through his Son Jesus.
Eph 2:8-9 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
If you have not yet received Jesus as your Lord, then do it now just ask him to enter your heart and be Lord of your life.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.
Welcome to the Kingdom!
