Let’s Copy Jesus

Jesus was and continues to be the most fruitful men who lived on Earth, even though He only stayed in his physical body here a little over 33 years, and then He went up and sat at the right of the Majesty on high.

But He made sure we knew, He was staying within each one of us his followers, until He comes back with all His Power and Kingdom. I am with you always, to the end of the age Mat 28:20

So the reason why we can copy Him is because we are His Temple. Why not give all we've got to do it? Do you think you have something more important to do than giving Him your all? … 1Co 6:19... your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God!

Jesus said... Jn 12:49 For I have not spoken of Myself, but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say, and what I should speak.

If Jesus only spake what He heard from the Father, how about us? We could say but that was Jesus, I am not Jesus.

Is He living within us or not? Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

I imagine we all want to have a very fruitful and productive life, do you? So if we abide in Him, there is no reason why we can’t as…

2Pe 1:2-4 May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

So according to that we already partake of his Divine Nature.

It reads... 1Co 11:1 Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Eph 5:1-2 Therefore be followers of God, as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given Himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor.

We, Christians are the number 1 enemies of Satan, so he tries all he knows to destroy our sample to the world, as to tell the world, you see? Their “Christianity” doesn’t work. And the way he is most successful, as he has always done, is making us doubt those great and precious promises that make us partake of God’s Nature, and sowing dissension between us.

The main battle field is within our minds. Every thought that comes to us to make us look at the world around us, and the problems, the difficulties, our lacks, our weaknesses, our enemies, etc., we should spot right away as the devil’s words, since you can’t find in the Bible one single passage that asks us to look at those negative so called realities, instead…

Php 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Heb 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and the sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

So… 2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.

So we are to only think on the good, looking to Jesus and always take out of our heads any thought or as it reads any “lofty opinion raised against what God has promised us in His Word, making every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

So remember… Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good… Mat 12:35 If we allow our minds to go wandering over all the problems we face, we will become worried, fearful and fruitless. Whereas … Jos 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Col 3:16  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Another very important aspect is: we are asked to walk in love, as Christ also has loved us. That’s why we are commanded to… Eph 4:29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Whenever we talk to others, we have to make sure that what we are saying is from God, and not repeat the thoughts or the accusations of the devil. Especially when we are correcting others… Gal 6:1-2 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Remember, the main thing is giving grace to those who hear, otherwise, we may harm others instead of helping them.

And Eph 4:30-32 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Jas 3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. (wow)

Remember… Mat 5:23-24 Therefore if you offer your gift on the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

In order to commune with God, you have to ask for forgiveness from your brother who may think you did them wrong, even if you didn’t, and if they were the ones who offended you, then forgive them from your heart, otherwise God can’t forgive you.

Mar 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive it so that also your Father in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in Heaven forgive your trespasses.

Another very important area is…

Jas 4:11 Do not speak evil one of another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?

Those Words of God are not only good counsel, we are commanded to obey them, and in order to do that, we have to meditate on them all the time, then the good treasure of the Seed of the Word of God that we have in our hearts and minds will bring forth much fruit.

If we rather do things “our own way”, we will go from one defeat to another, even if it looks like we are being successful, whereas sometimes when we're doing things God's way it may look like we are not advancing, the important thing is to never give up, the ones who refuse to quite always win in the end.

2Co 4:16-18  So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are temporal, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Let’s bear in mind also…

Jn 13:34-35 I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. As I have loved you, you should also love one another. By this all shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love toward one another.

If the picture we give to the world is that one of a group of so called Christians, criticizing one another, bitter, arguing, being unloving to one another, we will be displeasing God, and the devil will have accomplished his desires.

So the best way to make sure we speak the right things is, let’s speak what we read in our Bibles, or in accordance with it, knowing and believing the Holy Spirit is the one helping us, as…

Jn 16:13-14 However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatever He hears, He shall speak. And He will announce to you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will receive of Mine and will announce it to you.

Victory is ours when we do it God’s way...

1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1Jn 5:4-5 For everyone that has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
