More on Faith

07-10-19

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Heb 11:6 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Heb 11:1 How do you see God? Do you see Him as … 1) A Holy God who will send you to hell if you don’t accept Jesus as your saviour, but then, even after you have accepted Him, now in His Sovereignty, will purge sin out of your life, sending you economic difficulties, illnesses, & the suffering of those around you to make sure you budge, yield & keep his Commandments. And hey, remember you are still a sinner, bound to man’s sinful nature who will always cause you to sin & displease God, & which you will only be released from at the return of the Lord Jesus in the sky, or if you have been holy enough the day you die then, or… 2)… as a loving Father, desirous of pouring out his Love & many Blessings upon you, just because you received that Love & Forgiveness through Jesus’ sacrifice in Calvary & you now confess Him as Lord of your life. You have therefore become His Son, & He loves you so much that He has given you a New Heart, He has cleansed your life, erased all your sins, & put His Nature & Power within you, besides that, He supplies all your needs according to His Riches which are infinite, so that now you can represent Him properly as his Ambassador, full of the same attributes that He has. Well in case you haven’t guessed it, I see Him as number 2. That is how I see Him in the Bible. I hope you will put up with me when I take those promises for me & write “I”, but if you believe God promises are for you too, then you can read them & say “MINE” For me the God I find in the Bible… God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. 1Jn 1:5 Because Jesus said: I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Then I have the light of life, I do not walk in darkness, but I am also the Light of the World, because Jesus told me so. You are the light of the world. Mat 5:14 He has put his Laws into my mind & written them in my heart, so that now He is my God, & I am His. Heb 8:10 By this I have known the love of God, because He laid down His life for me!  1Jn 3:16 Hallelujah! He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world1Jn 4:4 The Spirit of God who dwells within me is GREATER than the devil who is in the world, & all the things that he has put in the world, fear, disease, selfishness, hate, lies, addictions, misery etc. In this the love of God was revealed in me, because God sent His only begotten Son into the world that I might live through Him.  In this is love, not that I loved God, but that He loved me and sent His Son to be the propitiation concerning all my sins. Beloved, if God so loved me, I ought also to love all those around me1Jn 4:9-11 And I have known & believed the love that God has in me. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, & God in him.  In this is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, that as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has torment. He who fears has not been perfected in love. I love Him because He first loved me. 1Jn 4:16-18 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation (I am therefore A NEW CREATURE). The old things have passed away(Sins, addictions, sickness, lack, ungodly feelings, etc.). Behold, all things have become new (His Love is now mine, my Faith, my Spirit, my desires, etc-, are all NEW). But all these things are of God, who reconciled us (me) to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us (me) the ministry of reconciliation; namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, & having committed to us (to me) the word of reconciliation. We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ (me too), as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.  For him who knew no sin He made to be sin on our behalf; so that in Him we might be made the righteousness of God. 2Co 5:17 My God has made me a New Creature, his Ambassador, & his Righteousness… WOW!!! My God is wonderful, a God that has it all in abundance. Can you picture a wealthy father, who would be willing to see his very own children walking in this world having to slave themselves to get enough to survive in this world, & suffering with sicknesses & diseases? I don’t see the children of the wealthy going around begging? Do you? If you know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him? Mat 7:7 I believe God, not only wants to meet all my needs, but wants me to go out in the world & help those who are trapped in the lies of the devil, & He is willing to pay the bills. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. Jn 12:26 and… the laborer is worthy of his hire. Lu 10:7 If I seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; then all the things that are needed shall be added to me. Mt 6:33 Some of you may be thinking, hey wait a minute, I remember sometimes you didn’t even have enough to pay your bills. I can say: yes I remember that too, that was when I used to see God as number 1. But God in his Love has helped me see what has been written in the Bible all along through the eyes of faith. And, it is a fact that God gives you according to your faith, what you expect from Him is what you get. According to your faith be it unto you. Mat 9:29 My destiny is not determined by my present financial status, or by my past, or what anyone else thinks or says. My destiny is determined by my Loving Heavenly Father, who happens to be All Mighty God, & I belong to Him. Hallelujah! If you haven’t noticed yet, I am daring you to do the same & make God’s promises yours. Read what Peter wrote Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God & of Jesus our Lord, according as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue, through which He has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, Pe 1:2-3 Well then, why are there so many Christians poor & suffering all kinds of troubles in the world? Well, it is also a fact that Jesus promised us tribulations & persecutions in this world, but not that He was going to use those as discipline. Don’t forget, we are in a war to rescue the Children of God out there still lost in this world, & the devil & his angels, principalities, demons & his children are going to fight us all they can, as they did Jesus & his disciples. Yes we do & will suffer persecution, but that is an honor, for as Jesus saidBlessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Mat 5:10-12 Sadly most Christians have been taught by the churches to see God as the number 1 description. Do you know what causes God to answer our prayers? I don’t see anywhere in the Scriptures that God is moved when we complain & feel sorry for ourselves, or because we have many needs. Even though I believe He does pity us, what makes Him to step in & change things is OUR FAITH. But what does it mean to have faith, because most Christians claim to have faith, & yet they hardly get answers to their prayers. Well, in the words of James… Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 2:18 In other words, do something that puts your faith into action. Do you remember the paralytic in Mar 2? These men had enough faith to dig a hole in the roof & let down the bed whereon the sick of the palsy lay & it says Jesus seeing their faith (2:5) proceeded to save & heal the man. And like that example all in the New Testament did something to get their miracle. Jesus said those that believe will do the same I do, Jn 14:12. What pleases God is our Faith. When you walk out by faith & do what Jesus said do, if we do it like: well let’s see what happens, then the mountain will not move! We have got to believe in our hearts & declare with our mouths, then the miracle will come. Mar 11:22-24 Faith is what pleases God. It gives substance to the things we hope for and makes them appear in the physical world. If Faith is what pleases God, how pleased do you think He feels if we would talk about all our doubts & fears? Kind of like: I don’t know how I am going to come out of this. I don’t have enough money; this sickness is killing me, or I don’t have the faith to go out & pray for the sick, what if they don’t get healed? Or… God doesn’t want to heal me, or He may change his mind & heal me some time in the future, or when I feel good, then I will know He healed me. That way we will never receive healing, we have to believe it BEFORE WE SEE IT! Remember we walk how? By Faith & not by Sight! Now think for a minute, how pleased do you think God is, when we say what He has already said, but we repeat it, because He said it & if He said it then: IT IS TRUE!

Examples: I LOVE GOD WITH ALL I’VE GOT & LOVE MY NEIGHBOR TOO! I AM FREE FROM ADDICTIONS & SIN. God provides ALL MY NEEDS abundantly. God heals ALL MY DISEASES; I cast out demons & heal the sick BECAUSE I AM A BELIEVER. Read these Scriptures, Gal 5:22, John 8:36, Rom 6:14, Filp 4:19, 1Pe 2:24, Psalm 103:3, Mar 16:17-18, that is what they say. It’s been only a few years since I have been waking up to who I am in Christ, & I tell you what, I am a new person. But remember that Faith also is a gift of God, we can't brag about having faith, but it is kind of like mixing our faith when we hear the Word.

Heb 4:2  For also we have had the gospel preached, as well as them. But the Word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.  One last thing for now, ALL OF THE ABOVE, is only possible because Jesus paid the price, He gets ALL THE GLORY, there is nothing we can do of our own works that would grant us any of the promises of God, IT IS ALL BY FAITH & THROUGH GRACE! Pray with me: Oh Father, I yield to You, thank you that you continue to work in my life every new day, & you will finish the good work You started in me. I expect to see you working miracles everyday in my life, because you are the God of miracles, Phil 1:6... In Jesus Name Amen!

Love in Jesus… Alejandro
