Sickness and Disease.

How to deal with them..!

Dear Friends...

Once we read the Bible thoroughly, we realize that sickness & disease are from the devil, as shown in many Scriptures...

Act 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went about doing good, and healing all those who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with Him. 

When we read the Gospels we find out that Jesus healed multitudes, all that came to him for healing, always received it, but He not only healed all those that came to Him, but also commanded his disciples to go & heal the sick, for as He said…

Jn 10:9-10  I am the door. If anyone enters in by Me, he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find provisions. The thief (the devil) does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 

So as the apostle Peter said in the book of Acts, those He healed were all oppressed by the Devil.

The Bible also teaches that we receive healing for our physical bodies, besides salvation for our souls when we believe & accept Jesus as Lord of our lives & accept his sacrifice for us in Calvary.

1Pe 2:24 He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that dying to sins, we might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.

Of course all these promises only work for those who believe in them...

Heb 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. 

If you just come to the Father & confess… I believe that Jesus was raised from the death to cleanse me from all my sins, & I receive Jesus as Lord of my life, Rom 10:9-10, then you will receive the measure of faith given freely to all believers Rom 12:3. The Spirit of God will come dwell within you & will make you a New Creature, giving you the desire to please God & you will start loving all those around you, because the love of God will flow through you.

2 Cor 5:17 So that if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 

Now the Bible also tells us...

Jam 5:14-15  Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will cure the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. And if he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him.

Once you understand there is salvation for your soul & physical healing for our bodies, you start becoming and elder also & can live in divine health, which means spiritual & physical well being.

Something that is very important to always keep in mind is that our words have immense power over us and those around us as well.

Math 12:34b For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

See our words reflect whether we have faith or not, and they are seeds that bear good fruit if they are faith reaffirming words, or bad fruit if they reflect doubts & fears.

Pro 18:20-21  A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; he shall be satisfied with the product of his lips. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat the fruit of it.

So pay attention, if you realize that you still have doubts & fears, don't let them come out of your mouth, but meditate in the Promises of God all the time & they will eventually come out from your mouth, as our faith is strengthened through the Word of God.

Rom 10:17  So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of God.

Phil 4:8  Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Let's copy the example of Jesus & his disciples when they prayed for the sick & casted devils out. They commanded the sickness & the devils out, & they had to obey, because they did it in Jesus Name.

Marc 16:17-18  And miraculous signs will follow to those believing these things: in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will be well.

So when we believe in what Jesus said, all those promises become real in our lives.

Also, if you are sick & would like to be prayed for, please don't hesitate to write me a note & I will pray for you, & you will receive healing, no matter what kind of disease you may have, because Luke 1:37  For with God nothing shall be impossible. 

Mar 9:23  Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. 

One more thought... Why are there millions of Christians not aware of the healing God has provided for us so lovingly? The lack of reading and meditating in the promises of God, plus bad teachings from leaders who didn't have the faith to put God's Word in practice. So in case you are not yet living these promises, know that God yearns for his Children to partake of all He has provided for us. Do not be satisfied with a mediocre Christian life, but allow the Spirit of God within you to inspire you to reach for the highest God has in store for us.

Rom 8:29-32  For those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that He might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom He predestined He also called, and those whom He called He also justified, and those whom He justified He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will He not also with him graciously give us all things?
