We are the Righteousness of God.

15-07-2019

We are the righteousness of God in Christ. 2Co 5:17-21 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;  namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.  We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.  For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. When we come to Christ, through faith, and we confess Him as Lord, it is there that we are born again and receive the seal of the Holy Spirit in us. From then on everything is new in our life, we have been reconciled with God who is now our Father, and we receive the call to be ambassadors, that is, representatives of God to the world, since we have been made the Justice of God in Him. Tit 3:4-7 But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.  His Spirit is now our guide, Hallelujah. Then we have to… 1Pe 2:1-2 Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking, as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, that with it you may grow. Note that: we are to grow by the Word, but that only happens if we put it into practice. If we do not grow and mature, by putting God's love into practice in our daily life, then we will end up as … Heb 5:11-14 Much more could be said about this subject, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing. For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.  For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.  Attention to “by reason of use have their senses exercised”. Let us be diligent then in loving God, honoring Him by spending time in His Word, and being self-denying in loving all those around us with His Love. That love that we share selflessly with those around us, especially those that cost us a little more, that is what helps us to grow in our walk with God. And that shows that we have a living faith, remembering that faith without works is dead. James 1:22 But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 2:17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.  Finally 1Thes 5:16 Always be joyful Blessings…!!!

We are the righteousness of God in Christ. II That doctrine that highlights the Greatness and Holiness of God, but at the same time highlights the sinfulness of the brothers in a congregation was surely conceived by the devil, since it is the strongest tool that Satan has to annihilate the faith of the believers. After one has been hearing what a sinner he is sermon after sermon, when he goes to God in prayer, the only thing he may have faith for is to ask for forgiveness for his sins and to see if in God’s mercy, perhaps, may want to grant him an answer to some of his prayers for healing, needs, problems, etc. and since prayer without faith has very little results, it ensures that the believer can never develop his faith to the point of being a threat to the kingdom of darkness, besides making the Christian believe that somehow his righteousness depends on his own personal efforts to “be holy”, instead of trusting in the finished work of Christ on the Cross by faith, ensures defeat! Getting rid of wrong teachings we have accepted as true in our lives, sometimes, become the most difficult obstacles to overcome but by the grace of God. It is true that God is great, almighty, etc., etc., but that is the reason why the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross to redeem us, is so great and powerful as God Himself, since He manages to get a sinner separated from God by sin, & turns him/her into a new creature now like God in everything, because it was recreated with the seed of God, for which now he/she is holy, clean of sin, and can do all things in Christ which strengthens him/her, always has answers to his /her prayers, because he/she always asks according to His Will, the HOLY SPIRIT dwells in him/her, and now is a real threat to the kingdom of darkness, since he/she now has in himself/herself the authority of God himself to cast out demons, heal the sick, proclaim the Kingdom of God, in short what Jesus promised his followers would do. Here I give you some of the Scriptures that validate what I am saying. Please, read them out loud, in prayer and let the Holy Spirit speak to you, as God´s Word has the power to renew our minds. Rom 12:1-2 2Co 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a New Creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, ALL THINGS have become new (New Creation, a new person, a new being. What passed away? “old things” and if ALL THINGS have become new, that means ALL, his old nature, his likes, ambitions, goals, wishes, etc. are now new and Godly) 18-21 And all these new things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;  namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.  We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. (Let’s think for a minute: AMBASSADOR. Have you seen an ambassador from some powerful nation with the aspect of a loser, or as a beggar? Ambassador from the Kingdom of God! ¡WOW! For him who knew no sin He made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. What… the Righteousness of God? And what is that mean? If I am the Righteousness of God, when the Heavenly Father looks at me, He sees the Righteousness of Jesus all over me, and then I can present myself before Him without fear, without sorrow, free of a sinful conscience, confident of His Love for me, because I am HIS SON, & He loves me as He loves Jesus! Heb 4:14-16 Having then a great High Priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let’s hold tightly to our confession. For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.  Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the Throne of Grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need. (It is with confidence, that means with faith that we obtain the grace we need) Col 1:10-14  That you may walk worthy of the Lord, to please him in all respects, BEARING FRUIT in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; STRENGTHENED WITH ALL POWER, according to the might of his Glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be PARTAKERS OF THE INHERITANCE of the Saints in light;  who delivered us OUT OF THE POWER OF DARKNESS, and translated us into the KINGDOM OF THE SON of his love;  in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins; . (The kingdom of darkness no longer has power over us.) Jn 17:23  I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and LOVED THEM, EVEN AS YOU LOVED ME. (WOW) 1Jn 3:4-9 Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness, for sin is lawlessness.  And you know that He was revealed that He might take away our sins, and in Him is no sin. Everyone who abides in Him does not sin*. Everyone who sins has not seen Him nor known Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who does righteousness is righteous, even as that One is righteous. He who practices sin is of the Devil, for the Devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that He might undo the works of the Devil. Everyone who has been born of God does not commit sin, because His seed remains in him, and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.  In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the Devil: everyone not practicing righteousness is not of God, also he who does not love his brother. Many have a hard time understanding the above passage for it seems to contradict 1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. How to reconcile those passages? Read on… 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.  That means: if we would sin, then we have an advocate who defends us 1Jn 2:1 My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And if we do sin, we repent right away & hate the sinful action whatever it was, but we know we are forgiven and… There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION for those who are in Christ Jesus. Rom 8:1 *“ Everyone who abides in Him does not sin”. Of course not, since the nature of God in him makes him hate sin. It's like asking a dog to eat a pineapple, or a tomato and onion salad, its nature makes them dislike it. So a man who enjoys sin has simply not been born again and he who practices sin is of the devil! There, but the flesh drives me to sin. Jn 8:34-36 Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever practices sin is the slave of sin.  And the slave does not abide in the house forever, but the Son abides forever. Therefore if the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. (IF JESUS FREES YOU THEN YOU ARE FREE INDEED) To say that sin has still a grip on you, is to say Jesus didn't know what He was saying, or you haven't given your life to Jesus yet, period. We have to believe that what God says is THE TRUTH, otherwise, how can we please God? Heb 11.6 1Pe 1:22-25 Purifying your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brothers, love one another fervently out of a pure heart, having been BORN AGAIN, not of corruptible seed, but OF INCORRUPTIBLE SEED, through the living Word of God, and abiding forever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of men as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls out,  but the Word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the Word preached as gospel to you.  (If we are born of the Word of God, we have the nature of God, INCORRUPTIBLE) 2Pe 1:2-4 Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, according as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue, through which He has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. . ("HAS GIVEN" is in the past, if we have been given, then I partake of the very same nature of God) 1Jn 4:4 You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them, because He who is in you IS GREATER than he who is in the world.  1Jn 4:17 In this is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, that as He IS, SO ALSO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. (Where? IN THIS WORLD) 1Jn 5:4-5 For everything that has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (Do you believe in Jesus? If you do, then you are an overcomer.) Mar 16:17-18 And miraculous signs will follow to those who believe; in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.  Jn 14:12-14 Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes on Me, the works that I do he shall do also, and GREATER WORKS than these he shall do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you may ask in My name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.  (Truly, truly… That promise in itself summarizes every other promise I quoted.) Mat 17:20 He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. (Impossible for who? … YOU) Rom 8:14-17 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption by which we cry, Abba, Father!  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. And if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ; so that if we suffer with Him, we may also be glorified together. Rom 8:30-32  But whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, those He also justified. And whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?  (WE ARE HEIRS OF GOD, GLORIFIED, CALLED, JUSTIFIED, GOD IS FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US? FREELY GIVE US, how many? ALL THINGS. Isn’t that promise for when we get to Heaven? When did He call us, I think in this life no? 8:37 But in all these things we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Him who loved us. The whole chapter 8 of Romans is a MUST MEMORIZE chapter, it is all WOW) Rom 5:17  For if by one man's offense (Adam) death reigned by one, much more they who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall REIGN IN LIFE by One, Jesus Christ. Well, there I leave you those Scriptures, there are many more with the same concept. When you read the New Testament, especially the Epistles, pay attention to the Promises of God, and memorize them, nothing like being filled with the Word of God. For now remember that Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. According to your faith let it be to you. Mat 9:29 Love in Jesus… Alejandro
