What did our Heavenly Father give us through Jesus
Would we say that Jesus was a human? He had total dominion over sin, the devil & evil spirits who had to obey Him, they would come & bow their knees before Him & would confess knowing who He was, He could turn water into wine, heal any disease, read people’s minds on occasions, predict the future, reproduce a small lunch and feed thousands o people, walk on water, command the oceans & the winds, race the death. Yet many people thought of him as a man whom they did kill. Of course they couldn’t keep Him from rising from the dead.
That was the same Jesus who said. He who believes on me, the works that I do he shall do also, and greater. (Jn 14:12) He also said that everything He ever said, were the very words of God the Father. For I have not spoken of Myself, but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say, and what I should speak. Jn 12:49
For I have given to them the Words which You gave Me, and they have received them and have known surely that I came out from You. And they have believed that You sent Me. Jn 17:8
So when the very Father said through His Son Jesus, that He loves us even as He loves Jesus, & that we have His glory…
I have given them the glory which You have given Me, that they may be one, even as We are one, I in them, and You in Me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me. Jn 17:22-23
On top of that, Jesus gave us his “credit card” with unlimited resources, He said here… And WHATEVER YOU ASK in My name, that I WILL DO, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. Jn 14:13-14 (Thus is the Father Glorified)
No wonder Jesus reaffirmed to his disciples, that those who believe in Him would cast out devil, heal the sick, speak with new tongues, & do other types of miracles too, Mar 16:17. Why, well we now have His Glory by faith in His name.
If you are a Son of Almighty God, by faith in Jesus, our King & Savior, not by works of any kind of your own, but by His Grace & only by Faith. Then you have been made a New Creature in Jesus, & you are equipped just as Jesus was. How?.. Jesus came and spoke to his disciples, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth. Therefore YOU go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen. Mat 28:18-20
How do I become a disciple? Jesus said… If you continue in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Jn 8:31-32
What did Jesus asked us to do? A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
If you love God with all your heart, soul & spirit, & your neighbor as yourself, you need no other commandments for... "Do not commit adultery; do not murder; do not steal; do not bear false witness; do not lust;" and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Rom 13:9
If you are a disciple of Jesus, You are no mere mortal, your are filled with the Spirit of God & YOU ARE A SON OF ALMIGHTY GOD.
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the Children of God. And if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ; so that if we suffer with Him, we may also be glorified together. Rom 8:16-17
For the earnest expectation of the creation waits for the manifestation of the Sons of God. Rom 8:19
If you are a disciple of Jesus & still feel as an inadequate sinner, go memorize & meditate daily what the Word of God says about you, & don’t listen to anybody else. Only what God says about you is worth believing!
